    Build a Self-Managed EVUP

    Building a Self-Managed EVUP

Building a Self-Managed Urban Pruning Valorization Station is a collective project that benefits its surroundings. By the end of this process, you will have a Self-Managed EVUP ready for the valorization of green waste from pruning and gardening.

You will become part of the EVUP Network—you will be part of the change.

A Self-Managed EVUP waste station requires specific characteristics, both in terms of municipal context and land structure. We explain everything below.

    Considered Data

One of the main characteristics of a Self-Managed EVUP is collaboration between municipalities.

If a municipality decides to install a station, it must take into account which local councils will use the facilities. This allows for calculating the amount of waste that may be deposited, its origin, and ensuring proper processing of pruning and gardening waste.

The minimum land area for a station is 5,000 m².

It has been estimated that this size is optimal for handling the pruning and gardening waste of a municipality with an average population of 8,000 inhabitants. If collaboration with other municipalities is planned, their population must be considered to determine the required station size. Additionally, the total square meters of green spaces is another key factor, as the waste from these areas will be processed at the Self-Managed EVUP.

Single-family homes are also an important factor to consider, as they typically have gardens and therefore generate pruning and gardening waste.

Finally, to determine whether the proposed land is compatible with the municipality, a certificate of urban compatibility must be requested from the local council. This document ensures that the land use is feasible and that the municipality allows the installation and operation of the station. Once the form is completed, you must attach it.

Fill in the details of this form to check whether it is possible to build a Self-Managed EVUP and become part of the EVUP Network.

This will help assess whether the contextual conditions of your location allow for the creation of a Self-Managed EVUP.
